BackTap: Tap Actions

Back tap gestures for Android — launch apps, take screenshots, open notifications, go home, and more with a double or triple tap on the back of your phone. Fast, customizable, and fully on-device.

BackTap: Back Tap Shortcuts

✨ FEATURES

🎯 Custom actions for double & triple tap

Assign separate back tap gestures for double tap and triple tap: Back, Home, Recents, Notifications, Quick Settings, Screenshot, Assistant, Flashlight, or launch any installed app.

📱 Back tap app launcher

Double tap to open one app, triple tap to open another. Skip unlocking, swiping, or searching — your favorite apps are one gesture away.

⚙️ Sensitivity & calibration wizard

Every phone and case is different. Tune detection with a sensitivity slider, or run the calibration wizard: tap naturally a few times and get a tailored recommendation, no guesswork.

🛡️ Smart blocking

Stop accidental triggers with a blocked apps list, block while typing, block in games or camera, pocket protection, and ignore during calls.

🔋 Context rules

Set back tap to only activate when the screen's on, unlocked, charging, music is playing, or a headset is connected — it adapts to how you actually use your phone.

📳 Haptic feedback

A subtle vibration confirms every gesture, so you always know it registered.

🎨 Material 3 design

Clean, modern UI built with Material You for a smooth setup that fits right into Android.

🔒 Privacy-friendly

All gesture detection happens on-device. No account required, no personal data collected.

ℹ️ Accessibility Service

BackTap uses Android's Accessibility Service to perform actions like Back, Home, Notifications, Quick Settings, and Screenshot. Used only for core gesture functionality — nothing else.

📲 Compatibility

Detection accuracy can vary by device, sensors, and case thickness. Use the sensitivity controls and calibration wizard to dial it in for your phone.

Give BackTap a try — a customizable back tap gesture launcher, double tap and triple tap shortcut tool, all in one ✨
