The presentation of learning material in this Indonesian book uses text in context according to the objectives of social activities and communication functions. Therefore, to achieve the expected language and literary competence, students are invited to follow scientific learning stages or pedagogical stages.

Learning starts from understanding texts which are seen to have unique ways of expressing rhetorical structure, content and use of linguistic elements. Next, students are invited to model and deconstruct.

However, it is very possible for teachers to develop learning creatively according to the material, social characteristics and abilities of students.

Therefore, it is best for students to be able to follow the learning process and learning stages as directed by the teacher so that they can have language and literary competence which is the goal of learning.
