Our studios in Hong Kong (est. 2012) and Singapore (est. 2016) are conveniently located in the Central Business Districts, and we serve customers throughout both cities.

Our Method

We follow the BarreAmped method; which takes classic barre moves and amps them up with power, precision, and focused intensity. It is influenced by classical and modern dance (though it is not a dance class) and utilizes a barre to achieve optimal positioning. Insights from Pilates combined with active and orthopedic stretching also balance the method’s unique approach. Founded by international fitness celebrity and former Lotte Berk Method Instructor Suzanne Bowen, BarreAmped is a result of more than 13 years of physiological study and client observations. Setting BarreAmped apart from other barre methods is its focus on work with a neutral spine.

By focusing on small, isolated movements held within deep and challenging postures, BarreAmped is proven to increase metabolism, burn fat, and lengthen tight muscles. Regardless of client and their goals, this electrifying method increases mind-body awareness and clients can expect to leave BarreAmped classes feeling plugged in and calmly energized.

From the very beginning, instructors are trained to correct and refine clients positionings during the workouts. With a team of experts in the fields of anatomy, biomechanics, and physical therapy, BarreAmped continues to evolve and remain a forerunner in the fitness and movement world.

Suzanne Bowen, BarreAmped Creator

Suzanne is the creator BarreAmped, an internationally taught barre technique which has been chosen by Fitness Magazine and Natural Health Magazine as the best of barre workouts in 2014-15.

Suzanne is also the creator of Suzanne Bowen Fitness providing online streaming barre and cardio classes, and numerous top selling fitness DVDs. Suzanne does extensive training with posture and prenatal specialists, including her friend, Julie Weiebe, PT, to stay up to date on the latest scientific data as it relates to fitness.

Barre 2 Barre is Asia's only certified BarreAmped studio. Our founders, Karen and Mylene, spend time re-training every year with Suzanne Bowen in the US and around Asia.
