Calendar with kerbside bins pickup dates for Edinburgh. With reminders! This UNOFFICIAL app (not associated with the Council) which shows you reminders on days when your recycling bins are picked up. This way you won’t forget when your packaging, glass, garden, food and landfill bins are picked up.

About the Project Team:

This student-led project is maintained by Weronika Harlos and Pawel Orzechowski and was originally created by a group of CodeClan students (David Bujok, George Tegos, Lewis Ferguson) and their instructor (Pawel Orzechowski).

About the Data:

Data is taken from publically accessible websites of Edinburgh city council (https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/bins-recycling). We are IN NO WAY ASSOCIATED WITH THE COUNCIL. Council is doing great work with promoting and enabling recycling, and we wanted to add a little bit of our expertise to make it even easier.

We also combined the datasets for various types of bins (packaging, glass, garden, food and landfill) into one calendar, for ease of use. As new streets are built, and data changes, we’ll do our best to update the app.
