Sufism (Tasawwuf) or Sufism (Arabic: تصوف,) is the science of knowing how to purify the soul, clear morals, build dhahir and mind and to obtain eternal happiness.

Initially, Sufism was a zuhud (away from worldly things) movement in Islam, and in its development it gave birth to the Islamic mystical tradition. Tarekat (various schools of Sufi) is often associated with Shia, Sunni, other branches of Islam, or a combination of several traditions.

Sufi thought emerged in the Middle East in the 8th century, now this tradition has spread to all parts of the world. Sufism is a concept in Islam, defined by scholars as the inner, mystical dimension of Islam; others argue that Sufism is a perennial philosophy that predates the presence of religion, an expression that develops with Islam.
