Birthday Sheriff: Reminder App

Wanna be the person who is known for never ever missing a birthday? This is easy with the help of "Birthday Sheriff".

This free (and ad-free) app reminds you of the birthdays of your loved ones. You simply import contacts from your phone's contacts or add them manually into the calendar of Birthday Sheriff, so that you will be reminded via app notifications of their birthdays.

You can even backup (export and import) your birthday calendar to Google Drive with a very simple one-click solution. All you need to do is log in with your Google account, and Birthday Sheriff will store a backup into your personal Google Drive storage.

Whenever you accidentally delete the app or switch to a new device, you can equally easily restore your backup with the click of one button. Birthday Sheriff even tries to avoid duplicates by matching the names of your contacts.

Permissions:

+ Read contacts: needed to import your friends from your phone book. This data is not stored anywhere else than locally on your device.

+ Battery optimization: needed to reliably deliver the app notifications. Without this permission the app is not guaranteed to deliver the notifications at the times you can configure in the app's settings screen.

Privacy:

The only data we are collecting from you is through a service called Crashlytics. It's a tool to analyze application crashes. We are only collecting this data to be able to improve the app by fixing bugs, we promise! The data Crashlytics is collecting is device state information, unique device identifiers, location data, and usage data.
