"Blue light" is the highest circulation fire service trade magazine in Austria. The publisher is the Landesfeuerwehrverband Styria. Overall, the magazine reaches more than a third of all Austrian fire department members. Other regular readers include safety representatives of industry and community and government officials in Austria.

As monthly periodicals the sheet appears with three regional mutation spending for the states of Carinthia, Tyrol / Vorarlberg and Styria. The Landesfeuerwehrverband Styria cooperates with the regional fire associations of Carinthia, Tyrol and Vorarlberg. The magazine is the oldest, regularly appearing print medium Styria. The medium was first published in 1886 under the name "Messages of the Styrian fire brigade district federation".

"Blue light" cultivates a close partnership for fire protection forum Austria, the immediate successor of the Graz Fire Protection Forum, which was founded in 1989 by the Graz firefighters. Initially intended primarily to improve fire safety at the premises of the Styrian state capital, it became increasingly becoming a national and international platform for security issues.
