Blood Donation App of Lower Austria Hospital Holding
The "blood donation app" is an application for smartphones with Android operating system and has been in a collaboration between the college for biomedical and health technology Mistelbach (Thesis M. Rubey, H. Solomon) and the Regional Hospital Mistelbach-Gänserndorf developed.
The main purpose is to provide information and motivation - especially young people - to donate blood in a blood establishment of the Lower Austrian State Hospital Holding.
The functions are divided into 3 sections:
- Event Management
- Canned stock
- Information & Services
Event Management:
- Event Search by region
- Date in the calendar
- Event forwarding e-mail, SMS, ...
- Appointment reminders via SMS
- Local or route description including card Zoom
Canned inventory & donations urgency:
A low level of canned symbol indicates an increased need for blood donations of selected blood group.

- The most important information about the blood donation
- Latest news
- FAQ's
- Contact your blood establishment
