BrightSwitch

One touch brightness control.

I've found smartphone screens hard to view in direct sunlight at anything less than full brightness, so rather than messing around with a variety of settings, I created BrightSwitch so that brightness could be toggled with one click from the lockscreen (with the use of WidgetLocker), or from the Notification Area (thanks to Bar Shortcuts), or presumably anywhere one can place an application shortcut.

This app does not use a Widget, but rather a Shortcut. Simplest use would involve long-pressing on your desktop, choosing "Shortcuts" from the "Add to Home Screen" menu, and you're off. Settings are adjusted by launching the app from the app drawer.
