Bruce Springsteen Greatest Hits

Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen, also nicknamed The Boss, is an American singer and songwriter. She has sold more than 65 million albums in the United States and 120 million worldwide and she has received numerous awards for her work, including 20 Grammy Awards, two Golden Globes and an Academy Award.

Springsteen was born in Long Branch, New Jersey, and spent his childhood and school days in Freehold Borough. His father, Douglas Frederick Springsteen, is of Dutch and Irish descent and his mother, Adele Ann, is a law secretary of Italian descent.

CAREER

Springsteen has been inspired by music at the age of seven after seeing the show Elvis Presley in The Ed Sullivan. In 1965, he went to Tex's house and Marion Vinyard helped him become the lead guitarist and singer of The Castiles. Castiles personnel recorded two original songs in a public recording studio in Brick Township and played them in various places, including in Greenwich Village. Springsteen gained international recognition in music in New Jersey.

Springsteen signed a record deal with Columbia Records in 1972, with the help of John Hammond, who had taken Bob Dylan to the same label a decade earlier. Springsteen took many of his New Jersey colleagues to the studio and formed E Street Band.

Since then he has continued to actively produce albums and singles. Springsteen is best known for his album that sold 15 million copies in the United States and became one of the best-selling album of all time.
