The Btbrinjal app conceptualized and introduced by Future South Asia Eggplant Improvement Partnership (https://bteggplant.cornell.edu/) for providing information related to cultivation and stewardship practices required for growing Bt eggplant in Bangladesh. It provides access to information about Bt eggplant, technology, agronomic/cultivation practices, FAQs, myths and truths, documentary videos etc. The app also allows farmers to record harvest information and post queries to experts seeking advisory. The app can be used by farmers, extension officials and other Bt brinjal seed value chain stakeholders. Over the last 5 years FtFBP has been working towards facilitating commercialization and dissemination of Bt eggplant in Bangladesh supported by United States Agency for International Development (USAID), led by Cornell University in partnership with Sathguru Management Consultants and implemented by Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI).
