What is two-factor authentication?

With two-factor authentication, you need a second factor in addition to your password to log in: a security code that is generated only on your smartphone. The code is only valid for 30 seconds. Even if someone knows your password—for example, after a phishing email or a data breach—they can't access your account without this code.

It's that easy:

1. Activate two-factor authentication in your online account.

2. Scan the displayed QR code with the buhl:Authenticator.

3. Enter the 6-digit code from the app when logging in. Done.
