It is an application (app) that allows determining the prescription of the criminal action, taking into account the deadlines, ordinary (art. 80, Penal Code) and extraordinary (art. 83, Penal Code), the suspension of the prescription of the action penal (art. 84, Penal Code), among other regulatory components. In the end, it informs you in real time if the case is statute-barred or not.

To use it, the user will have to provide specific information about the case, following the following steps:

1. You must indicate whether your case is simple or complex, based on the number of crimes committed.

2. Whatever the alternative, the user must record the date of completion and the punishable act (crime or misdemeanor).

to. As for the first, you have to indicate the date information in numbers. The particularities of the date of completion (e.g., attempt, instant or permanent consummation, continuing crime) are within the control of the user.

b. In relation to the second, you can register the punishable act by its name or by the article number. At the discretion of the developer, the app has a database updated as of September 2023 of the crimes and misdemeanors provided for in the Penal Code and special criminal laws. In some of them, historical mention is made of the precept, from its current text, the modifications by laws to the original text. It is the user's discretion to choose the standard.

3. Next, you have to answer two questionnaires: first, if the act is committed by a public or private employee against the Public Administration or State assets? (article 41, Political Constitution and article 80, Penal Code); And, second, if it was committed by a person under 21 years of age or over 65 years of age? (art. 81, Penal Code). Once the previous data is completed, the app informs the user of the statute of limitations of the criminal action regarding the ordinary and extraordinary deadlines.

4. The alternative of suspending the prescription of criminal action is added (art. 84, Penal Code), in response to two cases: for issues that have to be resolved in other procedures and for the formalization of the preparatory investigation. If any of them occur, the user may indicate the number of days, months and/or years that generated the suspension. When requesting to verify the data, the app informs in real time whether the case has prescribed or not. Then, in a complete image, record all the data obtained to be shared.

5. The same operation occurs in complex cases, which are divided between the real and ideal contests. It is the user's decision to choose any of them. For now, the app only allows up to five crimes in competition.
