Capitals of Europe

The game "Capitals of all European countries" was created to study all European capitals and test knowledge of world geography. The game features all European countries that have the recognition of the majority of UN members.

A few facts about Europe:

Europe is the one of the six parts of the world, forming with Asia mainland Eurasia - largest region in terms of area and population. Europe has an area of 10 million km2 and a population of 730 million people.

Geographically Europe is limited:

- The Ural range, the Ural river and the Caspian sea in the East;

- Caucasus mountains, Black sea and the Mediterranean, the Straits of Bosporus and Dardanelles in the South;

- The Atlantic ocean to the West and the Arctic ocean to the North.

In total, there are 65 countries in Europe: 50 of them are independent States, 9 dependent territories and 6 unrecognized republics.

Five States - Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkey, have territories in Europe and Asia. Armenia and Cyprus belong to Europe on the socio-political situation. Also, the European countries include all the island States and territories in the Mediterranean sea.

27 States are members of the European Union, 25 are members of NATO, the Council of Europe includes 47 States.

The largest state completely located in Europe is Ukraine. On the territory of Europe there are the largest (Russia) and the smallest (Vatican) States in the world.
