Cartoons are images with funny appearances that present an event. The person who created the cartoon is called a cartoonist. Several types of cartoons known today are editorial cartoons and comic strips. Editorial cartoons or political cartoons are usually aimed at expressing political or social views by way of insinuation. Meanwhile, gag cartoon is meant to be funny without insinuating. Comic strips are cartoon images in the form of short comics. Cartoons can also be used as illustrations, for example in books, magazines, or greeting cards. In addition, cartoons also develop in other media, the film, and are known as animation.
