Cella

Cella is a mobile and web based free-of-cost* point-of-sales (POS) system. Though we call it as a POS system, it has some additional functionalities which contribute in making it a complete business management solution. These are the core functionalities of this app,

Registration

Cella follows a simple registration process which has four steps,

• Step 1 - Enter mobile number and receive verification code through SMS
• Step 2 - Authenticate verification code
• Step 3 - Provide personal information and set password
• Step 4 - Optionally set passcode

Setting up a Business Account

This is also a multi-step process which has following steps,

• Step 1 - Provide information about your business
• Step 2 - Select Business Type. This defines what types of products/services you sell
• Step 3 - Select Category. This acts as a filter to arrow down the product/service search in the next step
• Step 4 - Select Product. By clicking on "+" button you can add the product/service to your inventory
• Step 5 - Configure Payment Options. You can add from a list of payment options and configure which details should be collected for which payment option during invoicing

Note - Cella does not accept or do any sort of payment using any payment option. It plays a passive role and just allows you to collect the payment information, which you can later use for accounting purpose. Make sure that the information that you provide for payments is accurate to best of your knowledge as Cella doesn’t do any sort of verification or validation on this information.

Place an Order

This option is available in “Business Accounts” only. This is a multi-step process which has following steps ,

• Step 1 - Select a Customer by entering 10 digit mobile number. You can skip this step
• Step 2 - Select Category. This acts as a filter to narrow down the list of items that you want to add to order
• Step 3 - Select and Add. Here you can specify quantity, price of the product/service and add to order
• Step 4 - Review and Confirm. You can verify all the items added to the order, verify the total and provide discount if applicable
• Step 5 - Payment Option Selection. You can select the payment option by which you received the payment for this order and optionally provide payment related information

Dashboard

This screen displays summarized data of your selected business account. This screen becomes available whenever you select a business account from the sidebar in left. The dashboard is also available for Personal Account however, there is lesser data to summarize on it for now.

Profile

You can update your user profile information by tapping on “burger” icon on the top left corner and then tapping on either the circle with white border or your username i.e. mobile number.

Note - We intend to keep Cella's service free-of-cost* for customers and small retailers​. We may start charging for service to medium and larger retailers
