Waste dumps are a burning issue to citizens and to Government of Montenegro, and therefore UNDP Montenegro through NGO Ozon is supporting EPA Montenegro in developing a system for locating and reporting on waste dumps in Montenegro. The system includes this mobile application developed by Sasa Adzic and Aleksandar Bojovic and an on-line platform developed by NGO Ozon.

What is the application do? The application allows citizens to locate and report waste dumps in every municipality in Montenegro through taking and uploading a picture of the waste dump, writing a comment about it and sending both to the online platform. The platform will register correct locations of waste dumps through GPS coordinates the application is capturing and sending together with the comment and picture to the platform. Data on located waste dumps will be used for preparing and sending reports to utility services in municipalities where waste dumps are spotted and requesting their action for cleaning up the locations.
