ClimateMap by S&P Global democratizes access to climate change physical risk information by providing users the ability to explore the impact of climate change physical risk hazards on a specific location. The physical risk exposure scores utilize S&P Global’s industry-leading data and scientific models in order to capture the location’s exposure to a hazard as relative to all possible global values for that hazard, expressed as a score from 1 (least exposed) to 100 (most exposed). Exposure Scores provide a basis for global comparison, ranking a local hazard value relative to hazard values across all locations, scenarios, and decades.
