SMS POLL

This project is mainly developed for conducting free SMS poll. For small Business, they may not have enough finances to buy short codes (Eg: 56560, 58589) to conduct SMS polls. The SMS which are sent to short code will be analyzed later on with help of some automated systems in the back end. These automated systems may be chargeable, which in turn add more burden to the small business.

It would be more cost effective if we can use normal phone numbers for receiving data from customers via SMS. However it is a very tedious process if we don’t have backend automated system to analyze the received data. We are proposing the below approach to make this process cost effective as well as efficient.

In this Project we will receive SMS from the customer with Coma Separated values instead of spaces. Instead of short code we will request them to send message to an number whose sim is in android mobile. After sending the message to mobile, the application will read the message and convert into a file on click actions. After converting the data in to CSV formats, The CSV files can send to an email to particular admin mail which can be analyzed later on. On a daily basis we can update this excel. Every message will be appended to the one CSV file and mail it when we perform that operation.
