Code of Criminal Procedure (Code of Criminal Procedure of the French Republic. In force since April 8, 1958) - is the main code which brings together the legislative norms and procedures relating to criminal procedure in France. It has three main objectives: a) strengthening individual freedom; b) strengthen the authority of magistrates; (c) enhance the efficiency of criminal procedure.
