CORE-IHCAFE

The CORE-IHCAFE APP is a mobile application within the CORE-IHCAFE ecosystem, designed exclusively for institutional use by IHCAFE. It is intended to strengthen the fieldwork of technical teams by facilitating technical extension processes, recording production information, and georeferencing farms and plots. The application allows for data capture in the field, operation with limited connectivity, and synchronization of information with the central platform for monitoring and analysis from offices and agencies.

Restricted Access / Institutional Use

Access to the application is restricted and is granted only with credentials assigned by IHCAFE to authorized users (e.g., Extension Assistant / Field Technician). User and role activation is managed through internal IHCAFE processes, allowing for centralized administration of who can use the app and what functionalities are available to them.

Georeferencing and Data Collection in the Field

The application allows users to consult and record information associated with producers, farms, and plots, and to capture GPS coordinates and polygons (according to the form configuration). The standard workflow includes searching for producers by password or ID number, accessing associated farms and plots, and then capturing boundaries using a map (GPS points/tracing). This information supports technical monitoring and control, institutional planning, and, when applicable, territorial verification and traceability processes linked to guidelines such as EUDR.

Offline Operation and Synchronization with the Central System

For work in areas with limited connectivity, the app relies on a local database on the device. The first login must be performed with an internet connection to execute the initial synchronization (downloading the profile, permissions, catalogs, and producer/farm data associated with the technician's agency(ies)). Once synchronized, the app can operate offline, recording forms, evidence, and georeferences, with the records marked as pending synchronization. When the device regains connectivity, the user can perform periodic synchronization to send new or modified information to the server and receive updates recorded by other users or from offices.

Detailed Synchronization and Multi-Agency Work

In addition to general synchronization, the application allows detailed synchronization by agency (selecting additional agencies to download related information) and by producer (search by ID, according to permissions), facilitating operational support in different areas.

Institutional Services and Support Functions

The CORE-IHCAFE APP incorporates query and operational support modules, including:

• Services → Credits → L 200 Loans (loan query by password).

• Reports and tracking from “My Georeferencing Tracking,” for monitoring and reporting of work performed from the device, including records and georeferences available according to configuration.

Device Permissions

To provide its functionalities, the application may request location permissions (precise/approximate), camera access, and access to photos/files, used for georeferencing and capturing/attaching evidence associated with technical records.
