The mushroom APP 🍄🍄

Cotos de setas is an APP that includes maps and information on preserves and free mounts where to collect mushrooms. It also offers information on the species present and the possibility of buying permits in the attached preserves

What areas to collect mushrooms does the App include?

*Castilla y León: Burgos, Soria, Palencia, León, Zamora, Ávila, Segovia, Valladolid and Zamora

*The Rioja

What areas to collect mushrooms will the App include?

Little by little we are going to complete the app with the maps of the best areas to collect mushrooms in Spain

What types of mountains to collect mushrooms does the APP include?

*Free mounts. Areas where mushrooms can be collected freely, without the need for any permit

*Delimited mushrooms. Areas in which it is necessary to obtain a permit, issued by the owner of the land, in order to collect mushrooms.

*Lands of the Micocyl (cesefor). Land attached to the Micocyl platform (included in the Reserves category)

What other functions does the APP offer?

Main species of each mountain: List of the 3 or 4 main species of mushrooms present in each mountain. Includes forest filter by species present

Weather: Weather forecast for the next 5 days (every 3 hours), including temperatures and precipitation. Include the time of sunrise and sunset

Purchase of permits: Purchase of permits for the fishing reserves (only in the reserves attached to the platform)

GPS: Know your location within the mountain where you are collecting mushrooms, to avoid getting lost or leaving the preserves

Route by car: Get the route by car in your favorite browser to the point you choose within the mountain

Information on the land: All the necessary information for the collector: working periods, quotas, minimum sizes of mushrooms, link to the ordinance and price of permits

Favorites: Save the mountains where you usually go to pick mushrooms

Search: Search for the mountains that most interest you to pick mushrooms

Download maps: (in development) You will be able to download the maps of the mountains, including the orthophoto, to be able to use them in the field, when you do not have coverage

Mushroom guide:Brief description of the main species of interest. It includes a photograph, a brief description of the mushroom, its habitat and the time in which it appears

Cotos de setas also offers a platform for owners and municipalities where they can:

* Manage the mycological resource in an efficient and transparent way

* Sale online and through the APP of permits for bounded mushrooms

* Promote points of interest and businesses in their municipalities
