Crop Roll

Own a tractor, a thresher, a harvester? Crop Roll is the pocket register for the person who hires them out. Build your fleet once, then book each job in seconds and let the app do the arithmetic.

Start on the Machinery screen. Add every unit you rent — a tractor, rotavator, laser leveller, trolley — and set its rate: so much per acre, so much per hour, or both. Each machine sits on its own card showing its rate and whether it is free or out on a job.

When a farmer calls, open New Rental and tap the machine you are sending. Enter the acres ploughed or the hours run and Crop Roll multiplies it by the rate straightaway. Note any advance taken and you can see the balance before the tractor even leaves the yard.

The Work Log keeps active hires apart from finished ones. Mark a job completed when the machine comes back, and add payments against it whenever the farmer settles up — the paid and due figures update on the spot.

The Analytics screen turns the season into numbers: what you have billed, what you have collected, what is still outstanding, the acres and hours worked, a bar chart of monthly earnings, and a breakdown of which machine is pulling its weight.
