Zilla Parishad Nanded has created "Divyangmitra" appunder an innovative initiative to uplift the living standards of persons with disabilities by availing various government schemes.

1. To register all the disabled persons in the district under this campaign

2. To inspect the disabled and provide them with disability certificate

3. The main objective of the campaign is to raise the living standards of the people by availing various government schemes and to overcome disability by providing health reference services.

4. To provide treatment facilities through various government schemes by providing referral services to the disabled who need further treatment after examination.

5. Provide equipment for the disabled if required. (E.g. 3% disability fund, other government schemes, NGOs, CSR etc.)

6. To organize fairs for the benefit of government schemes to the certified beneficiaries. (E.g. 3% Expenditure Scheme, Benefit of Insurance Scheme, Pension Scheme, ST / Railway Pass, Other Government Benefits etc.)

7. Issuance of Disability Certificate to the beneficiaries who do not have Disability Certificate
