Even if you feel quite comfortable with your drawing ability properly designing a character that you will draw over and over can be challenging. Designing a character for an anime or a manga is quite different than doing a onetime sketch. In a onetime drawing you only have to worry about what your subject will look like from that one view for that one drawing. In a manga or an animation a character will likely have to be drawn many times from multiple views or angles.

How to Draw Any Manga Face - Study and analyze the face of the character you want to draw. Look at the shape of the face what does it look like, is it oval, square, maybe it is diamond shaped we have found that studying like this makes it a lot easier to draw the face, because it makes you a lot more aware of what you are actually drawing.

How to Draw Simple Anime Eyes - With a little practice, you can draw easy anime or manga eyes. These can be used on pretty much anything you want and look great on more realistic cartoon characters. Make a small curved line for the top of the eye, and add eyelashes. Then add another small curve for the bottom of the eye. Connect the two curves with two more curves, on the left and right hand sides. Make sure to leave room for after you draw the curve. Add the pupil. Draw a big black circle for the pupil of the eye, add some shade and color, and you're done.

Usually when a beginner draws a face, him or her start by drawing a completely round circle. That would be really great if you were to draw a basketball of a head, but usually that is not what you want. The purpose of this studying exercise is to make you see the real shape of the face and be able to draw it has accurate as possible. When you have drawn the face shape, it is time draw the eyes, the nose, and the mouth. When drawing the eyes, make sure you get them in the right place. A Rule you can use is this the eyes in a manga character is usually placed just a little lower than the middle of the face.

Simplified Manga Hands - When drawing hands for something like a Manga you don’t always need to make a detailed drawing. Sometimes a basic outline of the main feature of the hand is enough. For example if you are drawing a character that is in the background you don’t need to draw the fingernails on their hand. It takes a lot of practice to be able to draw properly structured hands in different views. Depending on your skill level as an artist your drawings may not come out the way you like at first but don’t get discouraged, hands are difficult to draw. If you draw on a regular basis you can improve.
