Electricity generation and consumption rarely happen in the same place, which is why network operators like ED Netze GmbH are needed: We provide the necessary infrastructure. Our network area in South Baden includes the region south from Freiburg to the High Rhine in the west and extends north from Villingen-Schwenningen to Lake Constance in the east.

There we take care of the security of supply for our network customers and the integration of thousands of decentralized feed-in systems on a daily basis. When expanding the grid for the “energy world of the future”, climate neutrality and environmental protection around high-voltage systems and secondary technology are very important. Our customer centers are at your disposal for network questions (e.g. about meter service).

Around 350 employees ensure a secure power supply for the 295,000 network customers and the integration of the 20,000 decentralized feed-in systems. ED Netze is a partner of the municipalities and supports them with network-related services such as management of water, street lighting and broadband networks. ED Netze GmbH is part of the Energiedienst Holding AG group of companies.
