Eolas Nua is the Leaving Cert study app built to help Leaving Cert Students get through the Leaving Cert, from someone who understands what it's like.

Accessibility Service

Eolas Nua uses the Android AccessibilityService API solely to power its app-blocking feature. During an active study session, the service detects when you open an app you have chosen to block, and shows a "stay focused" reminder screen that redirects you back to studying.

The service only reads the package name of the foreground app — it never reads screen content, text, keystrokes, passwords, notifications, or browsing history. It is inactive whenever no study session is running.

When a session ends, Eolas Nua records the names of blocked apps you attempted to open during that session (so you can review your distractions in your stats). This data is tied to your Eolas Nua account, encrypted in transit, and is never shared with third parties or used for advertising.
