USB Camera: UVC Viewer & OTG

Use your Android phone or tablet as a portable USB camera viewer and UVC video monitor. USB Camera brings live UVC preview, photo capture and local MP4 video recording together for compatible external webcams, USB endoscopes, borescopes, inspection cameras and USB HDMI capture cards.

Connect via USB OTG

Use an Android phone or tablet with USB Host / OTG support and a suitable USB-C or OTG adapter. Plug in a compatible UVC camera or video capture device, select it in the app and grant the camera and USB permissions requested by Android to start the live video view.

Capture photos and record MP4 video

Take still photos from the live USB camera feed and record video directly to local MP4 files. Browse saved photos and video recordings in the built-in media library, play back recorded clips and export captured media when you want to keep a copy outside the app.

Flexible UVC viewer and monitor modes

Switch between full-frame display and proportional fill, or enter landscape fullscreen for focused monitoring. Use digital zoom to inspect details in the live preview and rotate the view to match your camera mounting angle. Digital zoom enlarges the preview image; it does not add optical detail to the source video. Optionally overlay the active resolution, frame rate (FPS) and video format (such as MJPEG or YUYV), and keep the screen awake while the app is in the foreground.

Review the step-by-step connection guide and device diagnostics during setup. If no video appears, check USB Host / OTG support, system permissions, adapter quality, external power supply and the camera's reported UVC video modes.

Hardware compatibility notes

A compatible USB Video Class (UVC) camera or capture card is required. Connecting an HDMI source requires a USB HDMI video capture card that outputs UVC video; a standard USB-C to HDMI display-output cable or adapter cannot capture incoming video. Device and format compatibility vary by Android model, OS version, OTG adapter and camera hardware. Detecting a USB device does not guarantee that every resolution or frame rate will stream on all phones.

Permissions and privacy

Camera and USB permissions are used solely to open and display your selected external video device. Captured photos, recorded MP4 videos and display preferences are stored locally on your device. The app uses Firebase Analytics for app usage and stability measurement. Please read the privacy policy for details on analytics and any diagnostic reports you choose to submit.
