Fever FM Leeds UK

Our other aim is to bring the whole community together and respect one another by learning from each other.

We broadcast programs in English, Urdu / Hindi, Punjabi, and Mirpuri. From our online service, we have built up a strong listener-ship from other parts of UK and across the world.

As well as working for our audience, Fever FM recruits and trains volunteers of all ages in presenting skills, technical know-how, IT and life skills. We support and encourage our volunteers (through training, mentoring and supervision) to research, produce and present their own radio shows. Fever FM is also a springboard for local and new talent; previous volunteers have found employment with the BBC radio and commercial media showing Fever FM's effect and value.

Programming 'by the community – for the community' is a core value of the station.

Our aim and objective was and still is to give our listeners a platform to air their views and concerns, while educating, informing, entertaining and inspiring the masses. Fever FM serves all the South Asian communities throughout the city, combating under-representation and exclusion from mainstream media. Our other aim is to bring the whole community together and respect one another by learning from each other.
