Field Notebook

Capture notes, pictures, and recordings. They're tagged with your location and the time, and are displayed on a map. If you're looking after a property, enter its boundary and see it and satellite images in the background - the images are stored so you don't need a net connection when you're outside. If you're working on more than one property, combine them into sets to quickly switch between them on the map. Search for notes, or look at a summary of what you've done recently.

The notebook is inspired by the work that Land Stewards do for the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests. The stewards are volunteers that help monitor and take care of the Society's properties - maintaining trails, signs, and kiosks, cleaning up, walking the land, and helping to promote the woods and the Society. The notebook is meant to be a simple tool to document what you see and do using the phone you're carrying around, in places where there might not be a signal.
