One that Muslims need to respond quickly to is the issue of non-renewable and limited fossil energy and renewable energy solutions.

In the past one and a half years, the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Executive Board through the Institute for the Study and Development of Human Resources (LAKPESDAM) has collaborated with the Center for Energy Studies (PSE) UGM, the Center for Community Economic Studies (PUSTEK) UGM and the Center for Civic Engagement Studies (CCES). ) in realizing the fulfillment of electricity sourced from one of the renewable energies (PLTS) as well as seeking to increase the standard of living of the poor through micro, small and medium enterprises through renewable energy in Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, Jambi Province and Solok Selatan Regency, West Sumatra Province. This collaboration is called the KEMALA Consortium.
