ForestIN - Forest INventory

ForestIN is a professional application for collecting forest inventory data in the field, designed for forestry technicians, forest engineers, and field crews who need to record dendrometric information efficiently, in a structured way, and without an internet connection.

Create and manage inventory plots with full descriptive information: team, start and end date/time, slope, silvicultural typology, stand condition, canopy cover fraction, main and accompanying species, treatments (pruning, clearing, thinning), understory vegetation, and presence of dead trees.

Define the plot area type (circular, rectangular, or custom polygon via KMZ) and record its GPS location with up to 4 vertex points. Capture plot photos directly within the app.

Record each tree with complete measurements:

• Diameter at breast height (DBH) with two cross measurements and automatic mean calculation

• Total height, crown base height, first live branch height, and first dead branch height

• Stem straightness (7 standardized categories)

• Curvature (4 categories)

• Trunk inclination

• Health status and detailed damage description

• Tree vitality / vigor

• Precise individual GPS location

• Up to 10 photos per tree

• Free notes and timestamp of measurement

Over 400 European tree species included, with both scientific and common names. Fast species selection with integrated search and a “species observed in the plot” section to speed up repetitive fieldwork.

━━━ STATISTICS & REPORTS ━━━

View real-time statistical summaries for each plot: number of trees, species distribution, density (trees/ha), diameter classes, vertical structure, damage analysis, and spatial distribution map. Generate full PDF reports for sharing or archiving.

━━━ EXPORT & IMPORT ━━━

Export data to CSV for analysis in spreadsheets or GIS. Import inventories from a ZIP file using the standard template. Compatible with both dot and comma decimal separators.

━━━ CLOUD SYNCHRONIZATION (OPTIONAL) ━━━

Connect the app to your own Supabase project to synchronize data across multiple devices in real time. Synchronization is completely optional — the app works 100% offline.
