Blood sugar readings every minute

The FreeStyle LibreLink app is approved for use with the FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors. You can now check your blood sugar by scanning your smartphone sensor. Now, users of the FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensor can get blood sugar readings that update automatically every minute in the FreeStyle LibreLink app and also receive alerts when their blood sugar levels are low or high. The FreeStyle LibreLink app can be used to:

* View current blood sugar readings, trend arrows and blood sugar history

* Receive low or high blood sugar alerts with FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors [2]

* Add notes to track food, insulin dosage, and exercise, etc.

* View reports such as time in range, daily patterns

* Share data with doctors and family members with user permission [3]

Smartphone Compatibility

Compatibility may vary depending on smartphone and operating system. You can learn more about compatible smartphones at http://FreeStyleLibre.com.

Use app and reader through the same sensor

Alarms can be issued from the FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or from a mobile phone (not both). To receive an alarm on your phone, you need to start the sensor with the app. To receive alarms from your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, you must start the sensor with the reader. Once a sensor is running as a reader, you can also scan it with your phone.

Keep in mind that the app and reader do not share data with each other. To ensure your device's information is complete, scan the sensors with your device every 8 hours. Otherwise, the report will not include all data. Upload and view data from any device at LibreView.com.

App information

FreeStyle LibreLink is intended to measure sugar levels in people with diabetes when used with a sensor. For more information on how to use FreeStyle LibreLink, please refer to the user manual within the app. To obtain a printed user manual, please contact Abbott Diabetes Care Customer Support.
