Furdy mini

Furdy was developed along with a daily production facility for people with autism spectrum disorder. The original goal was to improve the quality of communication between carers and clients. Furdy is the digital version of the classic tools. The full version includes all symbols METACOM a day planner, Talker, timer, work plans, noise light, and much more. With the increasing number of integrated functions, also increased the number of possible applications. Furdy both in facilities, workshops, schools, retirement / nursing homes, production sites and co. and of course be used for private use.

The free version also worked without a symbol system. Only includes Furdy routing function. When routing function photos are created and provided with a statement. The statement can be created as text or even spoken voice recording. This allows complex tasks are broken down into individual, easy-to-understand steps. For example, should be cooked. The purpose meaningful steps would be: "Fill 2 liters of water into the pot", "place the pot on the stove," "a pinch of salt in the water to give", "the cooker on 6 questions", etc. Each step provides the user the appropriate image and listen to each voice.

Create your card for the desired work schedule. (Create new map)

(Create a new work schedule) Create the work plan. To do this, select all the cards that belong to this schedule and click the top right of the Save button. Now you have the option of the cards to sort (hold) or individual cards to remove (laterally out slide).

If you have saved the work plan, you can leave the Admin menu and click on the Start button to start it. Top left select the desired schedule and click 'Start' as soon as it should go. The first card is shown and the corresponding speech sounds. If this step is done, click the green check mark to move to the next step.

FURDY was developed through a collaboration between the program "Accessible systems" of Frankfurt University and the day mine site for people with autism Unterfranken (TAU). In constant contact and close consultation with carers employed there and regular test phases of the application, it has been adapted as far as possible to the needs of carers and of course the client. During development, it has been shown that the growing complexity of the app, the width of the application areas also grew. So the app is not only suitable for people with an autism spectrum disorder.
