Game Zapper: Game Mode & Ping

Game Zapper keeps your games in one place and shows a few honest numbers about your phone while you play: network ping, available memory, and battery level and temperature.

Your games in one place

Add your games to the grid and launch them straight from Game Zapper. It works with whatever you have installed, from battle royale and shooters to racing, sports and open world games.

Game Mode

Silence notifications and calls while you play, so nothing interrupts a match. A notification stays up while Game Mode is on, so you always know it is active.

Device stats

See your network ping, how much memory is free, and your battery level and temperature, updated live. These are the readings Android makes available to apps, shown as they are.

Battery overlay

Switch on a small, movable panel that shows your battery level on top of your game, so you can keep an eye on charge without leaving the match.

AI insights

Ask for tips about your device. Game Zapper sends a snapshot of device stats only, never your personal data, to Google's Gemini, which explains what the numbers mean in plain English.

Custom DNS

Optionally point your DNS at Google Public DNS or Cloudflare. If your lag comes from slow DNS lookups, a quicker resolver can help. This feature uses Android's VpnService to run a local, on-device connection. It only changes which DNS server your phone uses. It does not send your traffic through an outside server, and it does not record or inspect your browsing.

What it will not do

Game Zapper does not raise your frame rate, overclock your phone, free up RAM, cool your phone down or change graphics settings inside your games. It cannot see inside other apps. Android does not let an app measure another game's frame rate or CPU temperature, so Game Zapper does not claim to. Everything runs on your device.
