Garamut

Garamut is an App that disseminates information in simple everyday language to citizens as we independently monitor the implementation of the Papua New Guinea Government's Medium Term Development Plan 3 (2018 - 2022) by the Yardstick of its Own Plan and its Key Performance Indicators.

With the theme "securing our future through inclusive sustainable economic growth", the MTDP III is a comprehensive plan that has eight (8) strategic key result areas and headline targets to be achieved by 2022. The Plan also has an Implementation Framework and Investment Plan of K27 Billion.

Garamut News aims to independently monitor, undertake analysis and report on the implementation of the MTDP III, for the general public's consumption, whilst ensuring there is transparency and accountability on the part of the Government.

Our ultimate goal is to empower people with information: economic and development information that we hope will help the public to monitor and evaluated for themselves the Government's MTDP III programs & policies.

We report real news that enables citizens to determine whether public pronouncements by the Government are translated into actions. We will follow through on ground-breaking ceremonies and report on progress of work.

We will do our best to use non-technical language that is familiar to majority of our citizens interested in the Government's MTDP III's performance so they can understand the data and the story it tells.
