Personal portfolio of Gavina Serra
Gavina Serra was born in Sassari on 25 September 1967 into a family of artists. Since she was a child she has always drawn, watching and learning from her older brother Mario Serra, a well-known Sardinian popular artist. The colors of his land and the landscapes have always been the inspiration for all his works characterized by a strong sensism elaborated and developed through the lively and sensitive emotion of the artist. Subsequently he moved with his family, at the age of 29, to South Tyrol where the mountain scenery continued to push the artist towards intense and meaningful chrome. He perfected his technique after meeting the artist Vittoria Monico who determined his will to devote himself completely to pictorial activity. The use of acrylic colors is based on a mix of sensations and experimental traits that refer to the impressionist and sometimes contemporary character.
