Gem Defense: Evolved

Gem Tower Defense is a portrait-friendly mobile tower defense game built around summoning, merging, and evolving gem towers. Call in gems with distinct combat roles, combine matching gems of the same level, and make smart evolution choices to hold back wave after wave of enemies. The basic loop is easy to understand, but the strategy stays active because summoning and merging continue even after the battle starts.

The six core gems all play differently: Ruby for explosive area damage, Sapphire for slows and control, Emerald for damage over time and vulnerability, Topaz for multishot pressure, Amethyst for support buffs, and Diamond for precise boss damage. On top of that, unlockable gems such as Opal, Obsidian, Aquamarine, and Garnet open up new builds, and evolution paths let you turn a stable setup into a specialized late-game defense.

Stage Mode gives you 100 stages to clear in sequence. Each stage is more than a simple clear check. You will chase 3-star objectives tied to survival, base HP management, summoning efficiency, and other combat conditions, giving every stage more replay value. Stars are not just trophies. They become long-term progression that feeds your next upgrades and unlocks.

The research system adds depth to long-term play. Spend stars on combat bonuses, summon and merge efficiency, gem-specific upgrades, and new unlock paths. Your research route changes how safely you open a run, how quickly you scale, and which gem combinations become your strongest options. Whether you prefer stable control, aggressive damage, or flexible utility builds, the growth path is yours to shape.

Endless Mode offers a different kind of challenge. Start without research bonuses and survive until your base finally falls. During each run, you gain experience, level up, and choose 1 of 3 ability cards to shape that session's build. Because the offered cards change from run to run, each attempt can evolve in a different direction. Push through stronger enemies, scaling pressure, elite waves, and boss waves while chasing a higher personal best.

The game is designed for quick mobile sessions with a clear portrait UI, but it is not a passive auto-battler. The timing of every summon, every merge, and every evolution matters. You need to judge when to invest in crowd control, when to build boss damage, and when to stabilize your board instead of gambling on a bigger merge. Convenience options such as auto summon and auto merge are available, but careful manual play is still rewarded.
