What is the GeoGo virtual sports program? GeoGo achievements can be compared to performance tours, i.e. the tours must be completed on a specific route within a specific level time. A significant difference is that the tours are not advertised as events, so they can be completed individually and in groups at any time with a certificate. Shorter walks and seriously challenging routes can also be found among the tracks.

The Ötpróba community was also connected to the application with its Ötpróba - Stay Fit program, where Ötpróba points can be collected in the sports of hiking, running, roller skating, rowing, mountain and road cycling with the help of GeoGo tracks.

As a result of the global epidemic situation and the resulting restrictions, more people have voted in favor of hiking and running than ever before, since these sports can be done safely, individually and in groups, outdoors without a particular investment of money and time, and help to ensure that in winter - let's stay fit in the summer. According to a 2018 survey by King's College London, which surveyed more than 2,000 people, a variety of activity trackers help keep recreational athletes motivated even at low points. We like to see how many kilometers we traveled, what level we covered and how long it took us to reach our destination, and it fills people with satisfaction when they can look up and compare their weekly, monthly, and annual performance at any time.

Nagy Sportágvólzó, BBU Nonprofit Kft., as the coordinator of the Ötpróba series, responded to the difficult situation caused by the coronavirus epidemic with the GeoGo application and continues to strive to adequately serve its more than 30,000 recreational athletes, thereby continuously providing opportunities provide for playing sports and collecting points. With this goal in mind, he integrated GeoGo into the Five Trials program series, offering an opportunity for community members to compete freely, independently of events, virtually and earn points in up to 6 sports.

However, the Five Challenge is more than that: it not only provides the motivation inherent in numbers, statistics and healthy competition, but also brings people closer to each other, since the performance can be organized together with the people living in our area, so you can get to know each other, exchange experiences, and later participate in joint sports.

Among the routes that can be completed, there are plenty of easy walks and tours of a few kilometers, which even hikers or families with small children can easily complete, and at the most favorable time for them, since the GeoGo application shows exactly when the entrants will reach the given checkpoint, so there is no need to to usual event frames to complete the route.

All you need to use the program is a smartphone. After a quick registration on the GeoGo website, and by entering the Ötproba ID, you can choose the route you like the most. Before starting, it is absolutely necessary to check the status of positioning, because without activating it, the performance cannot be started. If this is OK, the program already shows our current situation and indicates that the performance can begin.

Among the routes, everyone can find something suitable for their level of fitness, from easy to complete to extreme challenges, in almost every region of Hungary.
