Max and kindred officer Jim Goose (Steve Bisley) capture Toecutter's young protégé Johnny the Boy (Tim Burns) at the scene. At the point when neither the assault casualties nor any of the townspeople appear for Johnny's trial, the government courts close the case, Johnny's lawyers discharging him into Bubba's care over Goose's irate complaints.
