Herzien Inlandsch Reglement

This application contains the colonial legal regulations inherited from the Dutch East Indies government that are still valid and relevant based on the transitional regulations of the 1945 Constitution; transitional rules in the RIS constitution; and the Provisional Constitution (1950). The three regulations of the constitution state that H.I.R - R. I. B are still valid today.

During the Dutch colonial era, H.I.R - R.I.B was used as a law that regulates civil and civil criminal procedural law for the Bumiputera/or indigenous (Indonesian) people, and the Foreign East in Java & Madura.

The enforcement of this H.I.R - R. I. B is based on the Indlandsch Reglement ("I.R") Staatsblad 1848 No. 16 jo. 57 JHR drafts . Mr. HL. Wichers and Staatsblad 1941 No. 31 jo. 98 , 32 jo. 98, No. 44

The updated I.R can be called ("H.I.R") Herzien Inlandsch Reglement or in Indonesian it is called the Updated Indonesian Regulation, abbreviated ("R. I. B").
