About Hidden Devices Detector
Magnetic field detector with graph, meter, sensor check and room checklist.
Use Hidden Devices Detector to measure nearby magnetic-field changes with your phone’s built-in magnetometer.
Hidden devices detector app provides a graph, meter, and digital views so you can observe magnetic-field strength in microtesla (µT). It also includes Sensor Check, adjustable alerts, scan summaries, and a manual Room Checklist for visual inspection.
Hidden Devices Detector is designed as a magnetic-field measurement and inspection aid. It does not confirm that a hidden camera, microphone, GPS tracker, surveillance device, or any other specific object is present.
📈 Live magnetic-field graph
View magnetometer readings on a real-time graph while moving your phone around an area.
The graph helps you observe:
• Changes in magnetic-field strength
• Sudden increases or decreases
• Current magnetic-field level
• Peak reading during the scan
• Active scan duration
When the scan is complete, tap Finish Scan to view the duration and peak magnetic-field reading.
📟 Magnetic field meter
Use the meter view for a simple visual representation of nearby magnetic-field changes.
The meter displays:
• Total magnetic-field strength in µT
• X-axis reading
• Y-axis reading
• Z-axis reading
• Magnetic-field level status
Devices detector app uses wording such as elevated, high, or very high magnetic field. These levels describe the sensor reading and do not mean that a particular device has been detected.
🔢 Digital magnetometer readings
Use the digital view to check live numerical sensor values.
The digital screen shows the total magnetic-field strength together with individual X, Y, and Z magnetometer readings.
✅ Sensor Check
Check whether your Android device includes a magnetometer before using the detector tools.
Sensor Check can display:
• Magnetometer availability
• Sensor name
• Sensor vendor
• Live X, Y, and Z readings
• Total magnetic-field strength
• Sensor accuracy status
• Figure-eight calibration instructions
Devices without a magnetometer receive a clear unsupported-device message.
📋 Room Checklist
Use the manual Room Checklist to visually review common locations in:
• Hotel rooms
• Bedrooms
• Offices
• Changing rooms
• Bathrooms
• Vehicles
Checklist locations may include clocks, chargers, electrical sockets, mirrors, air vents, televisions, lamps, shelves, smoke detectors, wall fixtures, and decorative objects.
The Room Checklist is educational and does not guarantee that a hidden device will be found.
🔔 Adjustable magnetic alerts
Choose a Detection Threshold in Settings.
When the measured magnetic-field strength exceeds the selected threshold, the app can provide sound and vibration feedback.
You can also control:
• Vibration Alert
• Keep Screen On
• Detection Threshold
How magnetic-field readings work
Hidden devices detector app readings may be affected by:
• The Earth’s natural magnetic field
• Phone orientation
• Sensor calibration
• Magnets
• Speakers
• Chargers
• Laptops
• Electrical equipment
• Metal objects
• Nearby device hardware
Readings can vary between phones because Android devices use different sensor hardware and calibration methods.
A higher reading near a laptop, speaker, charger, magnet, or electrical component may indicate a stronger local magnetic field. It does not prove that a hidden or surveillance device is present.
Important limitation
Hidden Devices Detector does not use the camera, microphone, location, or storage to perform scans.
Hidden devices detector app does not detect radiation, radio-frequency transmissions, gold, silver, GPS trackers, microphones, or hidden cameras as specific objects.
Use this app together with careful visual inspection. For serious privacy or security concerns, consider contacting a qualified security professional.
