This app is a reliable resource for faculty and students of Sulu State College to ensure that they are equipped with the research and literacy skills they need throughout their lives and ensure that every user of this app has access to a dynamic well-resourced online library app. This will serve as an avenue for the students to engage and be well-adjusted in terms of the advancement of technology. Only the librarian, faculty, and students of Sulu State College can access the app. Users will choose their account status by signing in using their employee number for the librarian and faculty and student number for students to access the home screen of this app. Librarian – has full control of this app while faculty and students – can only view or download any book or module available in this app. Also, they can request a book or module from the librarian.

Significance of this app

This app is an important source of knowledge to young minds outside the school. It develops the important habit of reading among students since almost all students use mobile phone devices as supplementary material for their learning. It plays a great role in the life of students by serving as the storehouse of knowledge.

This app helps to:

1. Impact positively on the academic achievement of the students. Students can perform better during examinations by reading various books.

2. Facilitate the work of the classroom teacher and ensures each student has equitable access to resources, irrespective of home opportunities or constraints.

3. Run independent learning programs, which integrate information resources and technologies.

4. Equip students with the skills necessary to succeed in a constantly changing technological, social, and economic environment.

5. Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan, implement and evaluate inquiry-based programs that will ensure students acquire skills to collect, critically analyze and organize information, problem-solve and communicate their findings.

6. Provide and promote quality fiction to develop and sustain in students the habit of reading for pleasure and to enrich students’ intellectual, aesthetic, cultural, and emotional growth.

7. Cater for differences in learning and teaching styles through the provision of, and equality of access to, a wide range of curriculum resources.

8. Provide teachers with access to relevant curriculum information and professional development materials within and outside the school; and opportunities to cooperatively plan, implement and evaluate learning programs.
