It all started in 1978 when businessman Ewaldo Rieper Júnior, who inherited his parents' commercial acumen, opened the first Joinville supermarket.

It took seven years of hard work and dedication for the company to take its first big leap, opening the doors of Atacado Joinville. This happened after a broad market analysis, also taking advantage of the growth in wholesale sales.

In 2000, the company Atacado Joinville, gained a headquarters with 12,000 M2 of built area on Rua Xavante in the Atiradores neighborhood in Joinville, until the conclusion of the new structure in the Itinga neighborhood, where the headquarters is still located today.

In August 2012, the first Hipermais unit opened, with the aim of serving small to large retailers, but also serving the final consumer.

The first Hipermais store operates next to the Wholesale Joinville headquarters, generating an average of 185 direct jobs.

The second store was opened in April 2015 in the Vila Nova neighborhood, in an excellent location, able to serve the entire population with excellence, as well as people entering Joinville on the Rodovia do Arroz.
