huffr

huffr is an open-source Android app that simulates the shake and spray sounds of a can of spray paint.

It uses the device's accelerometer and the Android Media SoundPool API to detect a shake motion and play back randomized, pre-recorded shake sound clips in response. Pushing a button on the screen re-creates the 'spray' sound. The SoundPool has been configured to use multiple streams, allowing the user to generate shake and spray sounds simultaneously.

A settings screen allows the user to adjust the sensitivity of the shake detection, and to alternate between two different kinds of shake sounds.
