ImageSmart

ImageSmart™ is a clinical decision support (CDS) tool that puts up-to-date evidence at your fingertips to help you make more informed decisions. Currently, this mobile application is only available to participants in the “Comprehensive, Community-Based Approach to Reducing Inappropriate Imaging” project. This project is funded by a Health Care Innovation Award from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

ImageSmart™ provides evidence-based guidelines to help you find the most appropriate imaging test for your patient's symptoms. When you are considering an order for a CT scan or MRI, you can open the ImageSmart™ app, enter information about the patient's symptoms, and receive expert guidance on whether an imaging test is appropriate and what test may be most beneficial. ImageSmart™ also suggests care alternatives to CT scans and MRIs, such as X-rays and physical therapy, when these are more appropriate.
