Incident Messenger

Incident Messenger is a communication tool that allows your friends or family to be notified if an incident occurs near your location. Messages are sent as SMS.

You can choose the contacts you want to be notified or turn off notifications temporarily.

You can also configure things like how far away you are from an incident before a message is sent.

Currently, it supports natural incidents, like earthquakes.

As well as naturally occurring events it also supports what we call parental protection zones. This means that you can pick a location for your home on a map and set a geofence around that location.

If you exit the agreed area an SMS is sent to your chosen contacts and alerts them to your location. This would enable your close friends or family to assist you should you need it.
