This book is quite thin but its content and benefits are enormous. The author is al-Imam ash-Shanhaji. His full name is Abu 'Abdillah Muhammad bin Muhammad bin Daud ash-Shanhâji. Born in Fez, Morocco in 672 H and died in 723 H. It is said, according to Ibn al-Hâj, ash-Shanhâji was born in the year Imam Ibn Malik died.
