Official application of the village of Kátov
The village of Kátov is located on the left-bank floodplain of the Morava River in the northwestern tip of western Slovakia. The settlement is closely connected with the Morava River, which in the past also determined the life of its inhabitants. During floods, it spilled over a wide area and flooded almost the entire village. The flood conditions of the river are a thing of the past after the construction of the dams, but they left a permanent signature on the face of the village. The nature around Morava provides a pleasant environment for relaxation, fishing, quiet observation and getting to know plants and animals.
