The Bugis language is one of the Austronesian language families used by the Bugis tribe. The language is widely spoken in South Sulawesi, especially Maros, Pangkep, Barru, Majene, Luwu, Sidenreng Rappang, Soppeng, Wajo, Bone, Sinjai, Pinrang, Parepare City and parts of Enrekang, Majene, and Bulukumba Regencies.
